(To be rebroadcast due to popular demand on March 3rd!) Sunday, Feb 11- Listen to original Mahavishnu Orchestra members Jan Hammer and Billy Cobham and author Walter Kolosky talk about the Mahavishnu Orchestra and Power, Passion and Beauty on the Bloomberg Radio Network. Bloomberg Muse will air this Sunday (Feb 11) on WBBR Am 1130 (in New York City) and on the Sirius Bloomberg channel @ 8am, 1pm, 6pm and 11pm. During the program, there will be two segments about the Mahavishnu Orchestra and the book which chronicles its history and influence.

There are three new CD releases paying homage to the legacy of the MO! Original Mahavishnu drummer Billy Cobham revisits his past on Meeting of the Spirits- A Celebration of the Mahavishnu Orchestra. His drumming propels the HR BigBand as it interprets the music of the Mahavishnu Orchestra through the wonderful arrangements of Colin Towns. Multi-instrumentalist Gary Husband presents A Meeting of Spirits, which is his solo piano offering to the compositions of John McLaughlin. Several Mahavishnu pieces are included. Finally, The Mahavishnu Project has released its latest tribute to the MO called Return to the Emerald Beyond.

After over 30 years, Alfred Publishing has just re-released John McLaughlin's Mahavishnu Orchestra score book! It contains images, poetry and the transcriptions to Mahavishnu tunes through the album Visions of the Emerald Beyond.
